Refl ctions of Life
Fred Ivan Withers was born September 6, 1933 to the late Aljoumal and Annie Bell Willian1son Withers of Caswell, County, No h Carolina. Fred accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord at an early age and con nued to enjoy the Presence of the Lord all t rough his lifetime. lie was a member of Victory Life Church in Hampton, Virginia until his health declined and occasionally fellowshipped at Messiah Center in Hampton, Virginia. Fred graduated from the Caswell County, North Carolina School System and enlisted in the United States avy. After completion of his service, he relocated to Newport News, Virginia and was employed by Newport ews 'hipbuilding and Dry Dock Company where he retired after thirty-five years of service as a p ipefitter.
Fred was j ined in marriage to Frances Turner Withers on May 28, 1960 and three daughters were born to this union.
Fred was a quiet and wise man who led by example and was respected for his devotion to family, and his kind and gentle rna ner. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three beloved sisters, Pattie Will Howard (Beret), Annie Mildred Withers, Henrietta Withers; and brothers, AJlie (Matoka), Joseph A ron Withers (Maggie); George Alfred Withers (Elizabeth), and Willie Roge Withers. He has now joined a great cloud of witnesses that have gone befor\! hin1.

Petry and his special buddy, Deandre Perry of IIampton, Virginia. In addition, he s loved by a host of nieces, nephews, co sins, and friends who were all special in his eyes.
