Mr. Forrest Withers of 710 Big Oak Farm Road, Ruffin, North Carolina, died Monday, November 6, 2000 at his residence.
He was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina. Born February 28, 1906, to the late George and Sadie Bushnell Withers, was a member of the Red Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Male Chorus. He was a member of the United States Army having served in World War II. He was a retired Farmer in the Ruffin Community.
Mr. Withers was a loving and cheerful person who
met everyone with a smile. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.
He is survived by three devoted nephews, Mr. James Withers (Mary) of Ruffin, North Carolina, Mr. Billy Withers (Jean) of Dale City, Virginia, Mr. Wayne Withers (Pat) of Indianapolis, Indiana; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Sometimes it's hard to understand Why some things have to be;
But in His wisdom God has planned [Jeyond our power to see.
So looking back in tenderness Along the path we 've trod
We cherish the years we had with you, And leave the rest to God.
Sleep on dear on and take your rest ... We loved you, but God loved you best.
