Mommy,
The words, "I miss you, " pale in comparison to the void Ifeel from losing you. It has been you and me against the worldfor so long, that I feel as if my better half
is gone, and it is .... to a better place. I miss peeking in your room to see if you
needed anything from downstairs, or catching a quick joke during commercial breaks ofour respective television shows. I miss telling you about my day at work, then listening to your advice, even when it was hard to hear. I miss the smell of laundry hitting me before I put my key in the door. I miss the sound ofhearing pots and pans clanging as you prepare one ofyour simple, yet delicious meal. I miss hearing your loud laughter during y our numerous phone calls. I could go on and on about what I will miss about you.
What I will NOT miss though, is your pain and suffering. Seeing you struggle these past few months with "daily tasks, doctors ' appointments, as well as treatment, has broken my heart", we have ,discussed at length, I would have traded places with you to spare you even a moment ofthat incredible pain andfatigue.
We j okingly called y ou the "Comeback Kid, " because ofyour beautiful recovery fr om the heart transplant. I am so proud ofy ou, because I know firsthand how hard it was. It is because of that recovery that I was able to have you these past seven years, to create even more precious memories, which of course deepens the loss / fee l at this moment.
Do not worry, Mom. because you have left a wonderful legacy. While you spoiled me, you have also instilled a set of values and principles while rearing me that fives on, and will continue to guide me in your absence. I hope and pray that I will see you again, but in the meantime, I know that you are laughing up a storm.
"Love Always, Pet"

To Those I Loved & Th ose Wlw Loved Me You must not tie yourselfto me with tears, Be happy that we had so many beautiful years. I gave to you my love, you can only guess, how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you allfor the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled alone. So grieve awhile for me, ifgrieve you must, Bless the memories within your heart. And then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say ............ .

Roberta Doris Williams was born on March 6, 1942 to the late Grady Oglesby and Ruth Oglesby-Williams. She went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2009.
Roberta was an active member of Lane Grove Baptist Church in Millen, Georgia. She graduated in 1960 from Burgess Landrum High School, and moved to Philadelphia two years later. On March 25, 1972 she married James Wallace Williams, and of this union came one child, Jeriesha Lynn Williams. She was affectionately known to her family as "Snook."
Roberta worked in retail at KoKo Discount Store for over 25 years. Her wann personality, quick wit, patience, and love for people made her a natural salesperson.
She was a faithful member of Little Rock Tabernacle Baptist Church for over a decade, where she held several prestigious positions including Secretary and Treasurer of the Sunday School. She was also a faithful member of the Missionary Board until her health began to fail.
Roberta was especially close to her family. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, often sharing her labor of love with her family. She and her six sisters would get together at least annually to share in love and laughter of past and present.
Roberta shared precious memories with: her husband, James Williams; her daughter, Jeriesha Williams; her sister, Geraldine Brinson (Alonzo), all of Philadelphia, PA; Isaiah Oglesby(deceased) (Gloria-who still resides in Millen, GA); her sister, Naomi Thomas (the late Eric), of Savannah, GA; Mamie Jo Reese (Lenzie), Emma Turner (James) both of Millen, GA; Rev.
