Obituary
Mr. Paul Williams was born April16, 1898 in Meriwether County, and quietly departed this life Thursday, May 29th, 1986. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tobie Williams.
Mr . Williams joined the Arbor Chapel United Methodist Church at an early age. He later moved to Hogansville, Ga. and joined St. Mary United Methodist Church.
He was married to the late Mattie Lee Gates Williams and to this union seven children were born, six daughters and one son. He later married Mrs. Lular Mae Heard and they lived together until his death . One daughter , Mrs . Annie Ruth Williams Bird preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn a devoted wife, Lular Mae Williams; six children , Mrs. Lurlene Grier, Miami, Aa.; Mr. & Mrs. Eddie B. Hall , Greenville, Ga. ; Mrs. Essie Strozier, Atlanta, Ga.; Mr. & Mrs. Roy Porter ,
Hogansville , Ga.; Ms. Pearl Williams and Mr . Henry Williams, Brooklyn. N.Y.: three step-children , Mr . & Mrs . Jacob Gunn . Mr. &
Mrs . George Heard, Mr . and Mrs. Bobby Hodo, all of Atlanta , Ga .; two sisters, Mrs. Ladie Calliway, Winter Haven, Fla. ; Ms. Rosie Williams, Stovall, Ga .; forty -three grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
God saw that he was suffering And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed his weary eyes And whispered "Peace Be Thine."
