Requiem for Mrs. Lourania Thomas Williams was born in Henry County, Georgia on June 3, 1884. The daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Steve Thomas, she was born in a Christian home. She became a dedicat~d Christian in her early childhood, attended Sunday School and all church activities. She departed this life on Thursday, January 26, 1989.
She was married to Mr. John Williams who was also a christian man. She was a member of the Eastern Star, President of the Missio'lary Society of Lovejoy Circuit and Ridge Grove A. M. E. in which she served for many years.
Her survivors are nephews: Dr. and Mrs. Steve Thomas, Burlington, North Carolina; Mr. Phillip Thomas of Alabama; and Mr. Roscoe Thomas; niece: Mrs. Gladys Brite; The Williams Family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
How kind is death she yield no terms; Nor bargains with disease.
Her victoms flee the sick skinworrns To sail on flowery seas.
0 what a priviledge that folds; \\"hat left where fate attends.
The measure of its mortal ill; Taken from weeping friends.
How kind is death a sure release; It brings in noiseless tread.
The kindly fingers of sweet peace; ~1ake up a dying bed.
