Lonnie Lee Williams was born August 15, 1922 to the late Anthony Williams and Lonnie Prothro in Griffin, Georgia. During her early adult years she moved to East Point, Georgia where she had a career as a baker with Merico Biscuit Company for over 30 years.
She became a member of Grants Chapel AME Church soon after moving to East Point, Georgia, where she served on numerous auxillaries during her membership with Grants Chapel. She remained an active member until her death.
Lonnie Lee Williams is survived by her daughter Charlie Mae Thomas and preceded by her daughter, Thelma Holmes (deceased). Six grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Keith L. Sutton (Angela), Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Williams (Kathy), Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Cameron (Chemedria), Mr. and Mrs. Chri.stopher Holmes (Gina), Mr. Byron Holmes, and Mr. Thaddeus Holmes (deceased). Three great grandchildren, Christopher Holmes Jr., Colby Cameron, and Chase Cameron.
