Julia Katie Williams was born to Nathaniel and Julia Walker on October 17, 1920 in Atlanta, Georgia.
She attended Young Street Elementary School and was a graduate of David T. Howard High School in Atlanta , Georgia.
Julia was a member of Turner Monumental A .M.E. Church, where she served on the Usher Board. She attended church faithfully until she sustained an injury.
She retired from the Atlanta Public School System as an Educational Aide for twenty-three years.
Early Friday morning, January 28, 2005, Julia moved from her old house to a brand new life. ((For we know that if our early house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have
another building of God, a house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens." II Corinthians 5:1
She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Gwendolyn A. Marshall of New York; two sons, John J. Williams, Jr. (Georgianna) and Dexter D. Williams (Donna); five grandchildren, Vivian D. Williams-Trotty, Courtenay A. Williams of Panama City, Florida, Candace L. Williams, Cedric Williams, and Kevin Williams~ one greatgranddaughter, Amya Denise Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
