Mr. Franklin Leon Williams, Sr. (Pluto) was born June 8, 1938 to the late Lozell Williams and Edie Mae Williams in Hiram, Georgia. Growing up, Franklin attended school in Paulding County. His family moved to Tucker, Georgia in 19 51.
Franklin (Pluto) Williams was united in holy matrimony to Christine Peters on June 3, 1963, and to this union four children were born: Dwight Jerome Williams, Franklin Leon Williams Jr., Anthony Bernard Williams, and Melissa Rocello Williams.
Franklin Williams worked at Doctors Hospital (Northlake Regional) in the Maintenance and Security Department for 19 years until he retired.
Franklin Leon (Pluto) Williams Sr. was a devoted father, brother, and grandfather. Pluto loved to fish, bowl, play pool, and play baseball. When he was not doing those things, Franklin loved to play cards with family and friends.
Franklin departed this life on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 and leaves behind to cherish wonderful memories: his devoted wife, Mrs. Christine Williams; four children, Dwight "Pete" Williams (Juanita), Franklin Leon Williams, Jr., Anthony Williams, and Melissa Williams; one adopted son, Guy Ryans; two daughters-in-law, Veronica Williams and Leisa Williams; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Williams, Brittney Williams, Amber Williams, Shawnee Williams, Cassidy Williams, Jaylyn Williams, Cooper Williams, Mackenzie Williams, Matthew Tshuma, and Isabella Tshuma; one great-great grandchild, Ava Hampton; his loving mother, Edie Mae Williams; three brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Maxine Graves (Robert), Mr. John Williams (Beatrice), Mrs. Diane Wright, Mr. Samuel Williams (Mildred), Mr. Tommy Williams, Sr. (Deborah), and Mrs. Virginia Sharpe (Allen); one brother-in-law, Mr. Johnny Peters; one goddaughter, Tamela Mcintosh; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family and many dear friends.
