Mo. Edie Mae was born July 18, 1920 in Hiram Ga. To the late John & Addie Whitehead. She was next to the youngest of eight children. She was married to the late Mr. Lozell T. Williams and to this union they were blessed with 10 children. Four in which proceed her in death Winder, LT, Frank & Freddie.
Mo. Edie Mae attended school in Hiram Ga. In 1950 the family moved to Tucker, Ga. Edie Mae served as an outstanding community leader in Tucker where she helped to organized many function in the community. She join St. John Apostolic Holiness Church in 1950 under the leadership of the late Bishop J.L. White and remained a member under the leadership of Bishop C.E. White and now Pastor Wanda Cail. Mo. Williams as she was called by many served in Sunday School, Mo. Board and Church Secretary for 60 years. She received many special recognitions Mother of the Year, Outstanding General Secretary, Woman of the Year and many other accolades. Mo. Williams was known for good home cooking, cake baking. She loved quilting, crocheting, and singing. Some of her favor songs were, "Just another day that the Lord has kept me" and "May the works I've done speak for me just to name a few.
Mo. Edie Mae departed this life on Sunday, March 6, 2016 and leaves behind to cherish her memories one brother Mr. Cornelius Whitehead (Chattanooga, Tenn.) Six Children Mr. & Mrs. Maxine Graves (Robert), Mr. & Mrs. Walter Williams (Beatrice), Mrs. Linda Diane Wright, Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Williams (Bonnett), Bishop-Elect &n Mrs. Tommy Williams Sr. (Deborah), Mr. & Mrs. Virginia Gail Sharpe (Allan), One June Allen (son-in-law), Christine Williams & Francis Williams (daughter-in-laws)) Mr. & Mrs. Joel Wimbley (Anita), Mr. & Mrs. Victor Williams (Chequita).
Anita (Winder-mother) Tony, Kevin, Jarvis (LT-father), Dwight, Frank Jr, Anthony, Melissa (Frank -father), Vernon, Cynthia, April (Maxine-mother), John Jr, Felecia (John-father), Victor, Michael, Sandra, Steven, Freddie (Diane-mother) Meredith, Erica (Samuel-father) Eric, Felecia (Freddie-father) Celesta, Tommy Jr. (Tommy Sr.-father), Charles, Kevin, Tonya, Melody (Virginia-mother).
