Death beckoned her with outstretched hand And whispered softly of "an unknown land''
But she was not afraid to go For though the path she did not knou~ She took death 's hand without a fear,
For He who safe(y brought her here Had told her He would lead the way
Into Eternity's Bright DayAnd she did not go alone
Into the 'Valley That's Unknown" She gently took death by the hand And journeyed to "The Promised Land'' And there, with steps so light and gay
She polishes the sun by day And light the stars that shine at night Aiui keeps the moonbeams silvery bright
ForMothers really never die They jus "keep house in the sky'' And in the Heavenly home above They wait to welcome those they love

Three things return no~ even for prayers and tears The arrow which the archer shoots as win
The spoken word, keen edged and sharp to sting; The opportunity left unimproved
If thou would'st speak a word of loving cheer, Oh speak it now. This moment is thine own.
