OBITUARY

Mr. Nathaniel Whitby, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Finney Whitby, was born September 17, 1909 in Jones County.
His elementary education was received in the public schools of Jones County.
At an early age he joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Macon, GA.
In 1932 he was united in marriage to Miss Ethel Tuff. To this union one son and three daughters were born. He was later married to Miss Annie Fambro.
He was a retired employee of t~e Southern Railroad.
He is survived by: a son Nathaniel Whitby, Jr. of Cortland, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Gill, Mrs. Mary Helen Jett, Ms. Annie Bell Whitby, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mamie L. Mitchell of Macon, GA; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Janet Whitby of Cortland, Ohio; a nephew, Mr. La Fayette Haynes of Macon; a devoted niece, Mrs. Inez Hancock and husband, Jesse Hancock; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
