Annie Mae Watson was the first child born to Henry Thomas and Annie Sanford on December 10, 1915. She departed this life on February 1, 1985. She attended E.A. Ware Elementary School and Washington High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the wife of the late Rufus Watson and the loving mother of one daughter, Carolyn E. Brown. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Talbot County Georgia where she served on the Usher Board until her illness.
She leaves to mourn one daughter; Carolyn E. Brown, ten grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one sister; Ruby L.
Linsey, a brother-in-law, Samuel L. Linsey, three aunts,
Claudia Brooks, Louie Barrett, Rachel Claborn and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She was someone you could talk to Someone no one could replace
She was someone you could laugh with Till tears ran down your face-
She was someone you could turn to When you needed a helping hand
She was someone you could count on To advise and understand
She was someone you could sit with And not need to say a word
She was someone you could trust To keep each confidence she heard
She was someone you thought more of With uch passing year. She will be sadly missed By all who hold her dear.
