Obituary
"0 Creator, in the depth of Your wisdom, you lovingly govern all men and distribute to each what is good. Now, give rest to the soul of Your servant, for she has placed her hope in You, our Creator Maker and our God. "
Sister Thelma Loreater Almon Ware was born December 14, 1917, in Randolph County Alabama to the parentage of the late Mr. and Mrs. William W. and Martha Ann (Hann) Almon .
At an early age, she joined New Hope Baptist Church, Franklin, Georgia where she faithfully served until her pilgrimage brought her to the Roanoke area. There, she united with the First Baptist Church, where she sought to fulfill her desire for spiritual completeness.
She was married April 1, 1933 to Ebenezer Ware. God blessed this union with three children; two preceded her in death, Mr. Willie Frank Ware, and Leanora I; This union later blossomed into a family of loving grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Because of her adorable motherly spirit, her family often extended to include the children of others, to whom she opened up her home and her heart.
Mrs. Thelma Ware will long be remembered as a statuesque, stately woman, who carried herself with pride and elegance. Determined, resolute and matter-of-fact was her way. Her life was a portrait of service. She will be remembered as a energetic church worker, who served in the Missionary Society, Usher Board, Sunday School, and Mission. Her involvements extended from the local church to the District level, where she also busied herself in the activities of both the East Alabama, and Southwestern Union District Associations. She loved the beautiful Order of the Eastern Star, and was Past Worthy Matron of the Lily, White Chapter # 352 Order of Eastern Stars, in Roanoke.
She quietly slipped away from this life on February 1, 1997 at her residenc'e in Roanoke, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, her husband, Mr. Ebernezer Ware of Roanoke, Alabama; a devoted daughter, Mrs. Leanora W. (Joe F.) Grady of Anniston, Alabama; four sisters: Mrs. Annie Maude Bailey (George), and Mrs. Annette Amelia Cupid, and Mrs. Bette J. Keith all residing in Brooklyn, New York; and Mrs. Jeanette Bussey of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Jimmy Almon of Anniston, Alabama; three grandchildren, Joe Grady, Jr., Andre' Grady, and Ms. Gwendolyn D. Grady; five great grandchildren; a special niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Brenda Ware of Roanoke, Alabama; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Concluding Services And Interment New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery 508 New Hope Road, Franklin, Hea~d County, Georgia
The blow was hard, the shock severe, Altho' I knew my death was near
Only those who have loved Christ so well--
The pain of parting, is a lovely farewell
God saw all of my sufferingAnd how hard my hiils were to climb
So he closed my wearying eyes And he whispered so softly, 11Peace Be Mineu
