Officiating
Mrs. Mildred Lucille Walls (Cille), was born October 1, 1942 to Mr. Elijah Reid and the late Mrs. Mildred Reid. She departed this life on December 18, 1999 after a short illness.
Cille was born in Eatonton, Georgia and grew up in Atlanta where she graduated from David T. Howard High School in 1960.
She was the devoted wife of Mr. William J. Walls to whom she was faithfully married for thirty-two years from May 18, 1967 until her death.
Cille accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Hope A.M.E. Church in Eatonton., Georgia. There she began working in Sunday School and the Youth Department. After moving to Atlanta, she joined St. Stephens A.M.E. Church in Scottdale, Georgia where she continued to work with the Youth Department and the Missionary Society. In 1990, she moved her membership to Turner Monumental A.M.E. Church where she served as a Missionary, Steward, Stewardess, Lay Person, member of E. K. ThomasW. L. Evans Choir and the Mass Choir, Matrons Courtesy Guild, and past President of the Womens ' Missionary Society.
Cille will be missed by her husband, William J. Walls; two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reid (Johnnie) and Darryl Walls; three grandchildren, Derrick McKinley, Malik Reid , and Dariyauana Walls; father, Elijah Reid , Jr.; one sister, Eula Reid-Miller; five brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Reid (Gwen) , Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Reid , Ill (Sara) , Mr. and Mrs. Terry Reid (Sherry), Mr. and Mrs. William Reid (Sandra) , and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Reid (Adrian) ; three sisters-in-law, Bessie Abrams, Mr. and Mrs. William Boone (Nettie), and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Mahoney (Annie Julia); five brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walls (Geraldine), Walton, Caleb, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Walls (Thelma), and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walls (Wanda); a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, McKinley (Mac) Reid.
