"To Those I Lovect and to Those lWJo Loved Me,
When I an1 Gone. Release me, let me go, I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy we had so many years. I give you my love.
You only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love, you have shown me, but now it's time to travel alone. So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for awhile that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart.
And when you must come this way along, I'll greet you with a smile and say, ''Welcome Home."

was the seventh child of nine children born to Grove

Cleve Whalin and Ella Jane Smith Whalin. She was born on March 4, 1925 in Widener, Arkansas. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Silent Grove Baptist Church in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

In 1942 the family moved to St. Louis, Missouri and in the same year, Mrs. Walker joined West Side Baptist Church where she served as district treasurer until she moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1978.

Christine Whalin was joined in holy matrimony to Augustus Wallace Walker on January 9, 1946. Two children were born to this union, Ruby Jean Walker Davis and Doris A. Walker. Mr. Walker preceded Christine in death.

Mrs. Walker completed high school and attended Forest Park Community College. She retired as a seamstress after working for many years in the garment industry.

Very shortly after moving to Atlanta, Mrs. Walker joined Ben Hill United Methodist Church where she served as a faithful member until her death.

Mrs. Walker was the last surviving member of all her siblings. Faith, family and friends were very important to her. She talked daily about her family and with her ever present loving and jovial spirit she lifted and comforted everyone she met.

Mrs. Walker leaves to mourn close friends and loved ones including: two daughters, a son-in -law, two granddaughters, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and dear friends.
