OBITUARY
CALMER WALKER was born September 1, 1915 in Bibb County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Will Walker and Alberta Johnson Walker. He was educated in the public schools of Bibb County.
A veteran of World War II, he was an outstanding serviceman who was discharged honorably. He received many medals and traveled throughout Europe, Africa and the Philippines. The flag draping his casket is given by a grateful nation for his meritorious service to his country.
He was joined in holy matrimony with Ossie Causey Walker. To this union they were blessed with four children, Jacquelyn, Carolyn, Richard and Jimmy.
Br o t he r Wa l ke r o bey e d t he gos pe l a t a n e a r 1y a ge a nd became a member of the St. James A.M.E. Church where he served faithfully as Sunday School Superintendent for over thirty years, Steward and Layman until prevented by failing health.
He was a dependable and dedicated employee as an auto technician at Dunlap Chevrolet Company for over forty years.
He wa s a 32 ma s o n of t he J . H. Wa l ke r Cons i s t or y # 14 A.A.S.R. of Freemasonry, United States of America, Southern Jurisdiction Prince Hall Affiliation where he served as past treasurer. He received a trophy as the 1990 most va l ua b l e ~--me mbe r f r om t he Goe r g i a Co unc i l De 1 i be r a t i o n A.A.S.R. (PHA).
His passing Monday night, December 2, 1991 at V.A. Medical Center in Decatur, Ga. is a deep and personal loss to his family and friend. In their heart there will live admiration, affection and respect for him.
He leaves to cherish his memory; two daughters, Jacquelyn W. Carter of Macon; Carolyn Burris of Warner Robins; two sons, Richard Walker, Sr. and Jimmy Walker, Sr. of Macon; two sisters, Ethel Morris of Macon, and Mary Howell of Springfield, Mass.; One daughter-in-law, Jewell Wal~er; two sons-in-law, Elbert Burris and Jesse Carter; Six grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
