Lorenzo Veal, affectionately know as ''Jazz" was born on April 1, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia went home to eternal rest on Saturday, October 4, 2014.
He was the only child on Mary Veal. Lorenzo was a graduate of the first class of Luther Judson Price High School. He worked for Lockheed Martin and retired from American Home Products.
He was known for helping those in need and assisting them in getting back on their feet. He helped immigrants from Trinidad in establishing their new lives in America.
He was preceded in death by his father, wife, Shirley; son, Lorenzo Jr.; mother, Mary; sister, Willeen; and daughter, Patrisia.
He leaves daughter, Sheryl Ray; sons-in-law, Joseph Ray, Sr. and Thomas Johnson; four grandchildren: Shundra Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Joseph Ray, Jr and Sherika Ray; loving and devoted life partner, Lisa D. Thompson; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
