Obituary
Mr. Jessie James Tripp was born December 29, 1920 in Jasper County, Monticello, Georgia, to the parents of the late Mr. Joe Tripp Sr., and the late Mrs. Mary Bell Tripp. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Beatrice Thurman Tripp and to this union eleven children were born. He departed this life on November 12, 1989.
He joined Freedonia A. M. E. Church in Monticello, in his early life. He later joined in fellowshipping at Calvary Deliverance Holiness Temple in Gray, Georgia, where he was faithful in attendance until he was confined to the hospital. He served in the United State Army in his early life. He was a retiree of Feldspar Corporation in Monticello , Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memories; eight daughters: Mrs. Gloria Tripp and Mrs. Iradell Vinson of Monticello, Georgia; Ms. Albrenda Hamm of Gray , Georgia; Mrs . Naola Ellison, Mrs. Marsenia Ingram , Mrs. Merritt Johnson, and Mrs. Mary Madlin Harris, of Macon, Georgia and Mrs. Larrenia Williams of Eatonton, Georgia: four sons: Mr. Merari Tripp of Monticello, Georgia, Mr. James Gene Tripp of Gray, Georgia , Mr. Ollice Tripp of Macon, Georgia, and Mr. Jerry Stone of Monticello, Georgia , one sister, Mrs. Leila Mae Binion of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Joe Tripp Jr., and Mr. Robert Charles Tripp of Monticello , Georgia; two aunts: Mrs. Katie Bell of Macon, Georgia and Mrs. Gertrude Bell of Jackson, Georgia; one uncle Mr. Norwood Tripp of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Jan Tripp of Monticello, Georgia, Mrs. Bertha Faye Tripp of Gray, Georgia, and Mrs. Elisabeth Tripp of Macon, Georgia; six sons-in-law: Mr. Jerry Vinson, of Monticello, Georgia, Mr. Joseph Johnson, Mr. Samuel Ellison, Mr. Eugene Ingram, and Mr. Clarence Harris, of Macon, Georgia, and Mr. Earnest Williams of Eatonton, Georgia; seven sisters-in-law, Mrs. Annette Tripp, Mrs. Bessie Epps, Mrs. Ella V. Thurman and Ms. Bobbie Stone Tripp of Monticello, Georgia, Mrs. Susie Thurman of Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Gloria Thurman of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Mary Ridley of Rochester, New York; seven brothers-in-law, Mr. Eddie Braswell, and Mr. Prime Thurman of Monticello, Georgia, Mr. Ralph Binion and Mr. Clifford Thurman of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Felton Thurman of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Edward Andrews of Macon, Georgia, and Mr. Willie Ridley of Rochester, New York, thirty-one grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
