Bro. Jasper Thompson was born on August 7, 1952, to the late Mr. Jesse Thompson and Mrs. Jessie Ruth Thompson. He was the 8th of nine (9) children. He was preceded in by his father, Jesse; one (1) sister, Juliette Dudley; and four (4) brothers: Jerry, James, Joseph, and Johnny.
At an early age, Jasper accepted Christ as his personal Saviour, and joined Turner Monumental A. M. E. Church when it was located on Randolph Street, N.E. in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jasper was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools and was a 1970 graduate of David T. Howard High School. He represented the school well in the ROTC Program and on the Varsity Baseball Team. He continued his education at Atlanta Technical College (Atlanta Area Tech) and received a diploma in Diesel Mechanics Technology. He worked at the Greyhound Bus Companyfor several years as a Diesel Mechanic. Bro. Jasper changed his career path to a management role. He was Area Manager of a cleaning COOlP ny where he was responsible for the Building intenance and Custodial Services for the Coca Cola Bottling Co., Bellsouth (now AT&T) and Georgia Pacific. After several years of being an Area Manager, he continued his education and received a Business Certificatie from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration and started his own business "Total Approach Cleaning Services" where he has been quite successful.
Jasper was a true master of music and was known as "D. J. Master Plaster." He created his own production company where he promoted shows in many musical genres - Disco, Rhythm and Blues and Gospel.
Bro. Jasper was a faithful member of Turner Monumental A.M. E. Church where he has served as President of the Lay Organization, and a member of the Steward and Trustee Boards. He was elected as the General Conference Delegate for the Atlanta North Georgia Annual Conference for 2011 - 2012. Bro. Jasper was the organizer of Turner's Media Ministry. He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Morris Brown College.

Jasper dedicated himself, wholeheartedly, to the David T. Howard Alumni Association . He served as the past president of the Class of 1970. He worked diligently with The Alumni Association showing compassion t o the bereaved families of his fellow David T. Howard alumni.
Jasper was a devoted father, son , and brother. He is survived by: his mother, Mrs. Jessie Ruth Thompson; a daughter, Ms. Tori Thompson; a son, Mr. Marcus Thompson; grandchildren: Ms. Diamond Smith and Ms. Lauryn Marshall; brother: Mr. Jesse
C. Thompson, Jr. ; sisters: Mrs. Joyce F. Thompson and Mrs. Janet T. Gill (Howard) , along with a host of family members and friends .
