Father for the life he shared among us. Now he rest in PEACE.
He grew up in the Mechanicsville neighborhood of Atlanta where he.
graduated from CaiVer High School. He met his soul mate juanita
Thomas. This courtship resulted in a 51 year marriage and 4 children.
He was employed with the City of Atlanta for over 24 years from
which he retired. He had 2 passions, watching sports on television and
repairing cars. He loved watching all sports with his family, but he
particularly liked football. Although he was hom and raised in Atlanta,
he passionately disliked all home team sports; in particular the Atlanta
Falcons. However, even though he disliked the Falcons, he predicted the
Falcons would go all the way this year.
He also loved repairing cars. He was the family and neighborhood
mechanic. Everyone would call him for advice and a diagnosis of their
cars' problem.. He was always willing to help.
He accepted Christ into his life at an early age. Up until his illness,
he was a faithful and devoted member of Ariel Bowen Memorial United
Methodist Church, where he held several positions. He.loved attending
church with his family. He will be truly missed and forever remembered
by his loving and devoted wife juanita Thomas and therest of his family
and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory, a de~oted wife Juanita Thomas, 4

Welcome to the life of Marion, where the tea is sweet, but he was even sweeter
If you were looking for courage, this was the place to be.
It seems like just yesterday we saw his smiling face as he was back then, working on a car
case. When he looked into her eyes, he
knew it was love at first sight. They both knew it would sparl< a new light.
Throughout the 51 years they shared. He had much love to give, as it was clearly declared. A brave man he was, always enjoying a rum inspired buzz.
His love for sports was shown every Sunday afternoon, as he strongly insisted that the
Falcons were headed for doom. While he will be missed, we understand he had to leave.
We ask for the Lord's help as we grieve Not a day will go by that we won't think of you,
l<eeping your legacy alive is something we will continue to do.

Acknowledgement
Perhaps you sent a lovely card Or sat quietly in a chair
Perhaps you sent beautiful flowers, if so, we saw them there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, As many friends could say
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, Near at hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts,
We thank you so much, whatever the part. The Family
