Larry J. Thomas departed this life on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Atlanta Medical Center. The son of the late Lula Mae Jackson Thomas and Herman Inman, Larry Thomas was born on September 27, 1947, in Atlanta, GA.
Larry grew up in the Edgewood Community of Atlanta, later moving to Atlanta's Fourth Ward. Larry attended Howard High School, and was a long-time member of Smith Chapel }\ME Church.
Larry's greatest passion was "playing the drums." He was a well-known drummer, performing for parties, galas, and the like throughout the city.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory several relatives, including his loving "wife," Mildred Hightower; his children, Sarah (Charles) Brown, Keith (Cynthia) Goodman, Janice Sims, Sandra (Spencer) Green, Jerry Goodman, Angela Goodman, and Kenneth "Moony" (Lisa) Goodman; his brother Melvin Inman, Juanita Thomas, Linda Thomas, and Brenda Blossomgame (Reginald) Moreland; and a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; along with friends, and other family members whom he loved.
