Cfarence P.dwara rJ'atpCin was born July 31, 1943 to the late
Elder Willie Clarence and Virginia Tarplin. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 21, 2009.
After attending elementary and high school in the Metro Atlanta area, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served four years. After completing his tour of duties he was employed by the Federal Government, at the Atlanta branch of the United States Postal Service.
He is known throughout his community for his generous and giving services to the youth, touching lives and unlim.ited dedication to boys and girls. He worked diligently with the North Clayton Athletic Park where he served as a Board Member. He worked with North Clayton Middle and High Schools.
After becoming a faithful member of Christian for Change Baptist Church he served on the Progressive and Male Usher Boards, the Kitchen Ministry, Church Bowling Team, Men on the Move for God, Laymen's Ministry and numerous other Church related activities.
He was a prolific bowler, avid fisherman, world traveler, and collector.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory one son, Clarence E. Tarplin, Jr.; four brothers, Charles (Jess), Jesse (Shirley), Bernard (Sharon) and Nathaniel Tarpin; four sisters, Juanita Foster, Maxine, Kay and Sharron Tarplin; five aunts, three uncles and a host of nieces, nephews and a special friend, Greg Horton.
