OBITUARY

EARTHA LEE (RUMPH) SYKES, our Beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and Friend, the daughter of the late John and Emma (Favor) Rumph, was born on January 171h, 1929 in Philadelphia, Penna. She was preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Luther and daughter, Roslyn Michelle.
She is survived by children Renee, married to Rev. Layton L. Brandon Jr., Penna., Zahir Bilal, married to Ingrid Rowley, Georgia & Toni Marie Belcher, Georgia; sister, Mary McNair, Georgia; cousins, Thomas Taylor, Penna; Wallena and lsiah Dunson, Texas; Roosevelt Favor, South Carolina; 12 grandchildren, 16+ great-grands, and a host of nephews & nieces and friends.
Eartha, along with her siblings were raised by their parents, who had relocated from South Carolina to Johnstown, Penna. and at age 16, she moved to Brooklyn, NY to be a financial help to her mother, who was widowed at an early age. However, GOD had other plans for her life and she met and married Luther Sykes and raised 4 children in Jamaica, NY, BUT she also met JESUS in NY, and received Him as her personal savior.
EARTHA was Exceptionally Faithful, not only to GOD, but also to her Family and Church.
EARTHA departed this earth with GREAT Confidence & Assurance that Heaven is going to be her new home.
EARTHA will be missed by many people, BUT her children & family will miss her most.
