joe H. Stone was born October 16, 1944 in Brewton, Alabama to the late joseph Pritchett and Louisa Pritchett; he was their first born. He departed
this life on june 26, 2014 at Peidmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
joe was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Brewton, Alabama. He also served our country in the United States Army. Joe later became employed with Parmalat (Formerly Atlanta Diaries), he was a loyal, dependable, and hardworking employee for over thirty,three years; Joe retired in .zooB. He married Denise Usher on August 5, 1989. They have one daughter Dunyell.
joe was a devoted and faithful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He resided at the same address in Decatur,
GA. since 1990. Joe was very instrumental along with his wife after his
retirement in helping care for his motherin,law Mrs.Qy.een Rackley, and his uncle Homer Usher. He was a great humanitarian. joe was known to give a helping hand to those in need. He would talk to and uplift the elderly at the nursing home. He gave away clothing, prepared meals, and took time to give advice to the young. joe was a man offaith, and he was a faithful servant of the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his precious, loving, devoted, wife of 24(+) years, Mrs. Denise Stone; daughter, Dunyell Dawson; grandchildren, Gabrielle Dawson, Shamira Dawson, Donovan Davis; sister, Mattie Stone; brothers, Larry Stone, Albert (Chui) Pritchett, james (Ebalina) Pritchett; mother,in,law, Qyeen Ann Rackley; father,in,law, David Rackley; sister' in,law, Qyeen Oimmy) Holiday; brother,in,law, Rodney (Chillonda) Usher; aunt, Dorothy Wilson; uncle, Homer Usher; godmom, Dorothy Hunnicutt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and good neighbors.
