Barbara Elaine Allen Stewart was born March 23, 1950 to Esther Jackson and Leroy Stewart in Rome, Georgia, where she received her education in the public schools.
Barbara dedicated and gave her life to Christ at an early age and continued her journey with the Lord as a member of Lakewood C.O.G.I.C. She served in numerous capacitiesCommittee of the Y.M.C.C. and W.C.C. and was a member of the Lakewood Choir. Barbara loved dancing, cooking and laughing but most of all she loved people; especially her family and friends. Later in life, she became a member of New Beginning Community Church, also in the Lakewood Community.
Her spirit will never be forgotten; for those who knew and loved her, the world is a better place.
Barbara Elaine Allen Stewart was called home on February 5, 2015. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Marcella Stewart; grandsons, Winfred Sherman (Shannon), Travorus Stewart (Rhonda) and Quintavious Wyatt; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Jackson (Marvita) and Bobby Jackson; one sister, Melanie Childs (Jimmy); close and devoted friend, David Heard; stepfather, Charlie Ways (Mary); other family, Felicia Harris, Dollie Patterson, Charlotte Lewis and caretaker, Tonya; and a host of other family and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Jackson-Ways; father, Leroy Stewart; grandparents; grandson, Detravia Bryant; and granddaughter, Synthethius Bryant; and other family and countless friends.
Her footprints will be engraved on the grounds in which she treaded, her life lives on through the memory of family and friends, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who love her to this day. Your love is in us and will continue to grow. Thank You for the lessons you taught us. Rest In Peace!
