Mrs. Caroline Stegall was born May 11, 1911 in Coweta County, Newnan, Georgia to the late Mr. William Stegall (Fannie Long).
Caroline joined the Westley Chapel A.M.E. Church in Macon, Georgia. At an early age, after moving to East Point, she moved her membership to Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church. She dearly loved the Lord and her church, where she worked in numerous capacities including, the Usher Board, sang in the Choir and taught Sunday School. As her health began to fail, she accepted Stewardship duties until God called her home.
She retired from Merico Bakery, Forest Park, Georgia. Caroline was the last of her siblings. Her son, Samuel Stegall also preceded her in death.
She departed this life on Thursday, December 14, 2000 at Sunbridge Nursing Home, Riverdale, Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her merrrury, her grandson, Corey L. Stegall; great granddaughter, Verlieza M'kaya Stegall; daughter-in-law, Eleanor Stegall; her caregiver, Kate Stegall; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
23rd Psalm
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me besides the still waters. He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley ofthe shadow ofdeath, I will fear no evil;
for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in presence of mine enemies:
Thou annointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shallfollow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
