06ituary
Eddie Smith was born September 1, 1938 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia. He received his education in the Tift County School System and attended Wilson High School.
He worked in the Fulton County School System until he retired. Eddie was united in marriage to the late Jeanette Smith in March 1967.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Baines (Margaret) and Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Bagby (June); five grandchildren, Jermaine, Talisha, Curtis, Yakita, and Dontrail; fifteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Emila Wright, Muttie Harvey, and Betty Smith; two brothers, Mathew Smith and Aaron Bentley, all of Decatur, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Willie Joyce Fields and Dorothy Taylor; other relatives and friends.
God's Garden God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered uPeace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone... For part ofus went with you, the day God called you home.
