Belinda Athea Smith, was born December 12, 1951 in Darlington, South Carolina to Dora Smith and the late Alfred Smith. She departed this life on August 5, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her brother lewis Smith. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was educated in the public school system of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and she attended Pierce Junior College. She was employed by Philadelphia School District for several years before joining the staff at Comcast.

During the spring of 2012, Belinda rededicated her life to Jesus Christ. Belinda sincerely loved and trusted God, and could often be heard praying and praising God during her time of need.
