Shabazz \vas born on august 30, 1936 to Leo and Hattie Wesley in Columbus, Georgia. _As the last son and a nvin at that from a large family you ha,Te to learn ho"\v to get along and not hold grudges. _i\s a result, Rudy as his "vife Helen calls him, \Vas a good dad, hard "\vorker, good provider and protector. Dad had his \vays but a very caring and loving father.
Rudy \vill be remembered for speaking his mind and having a fair heart. He "\vas "veil liked in the community and cared for people. He loYed drinking coffee and haYing great conversations \vith people he met. He was a great story-teller and had a great smile. He respected people for \vho they "\vere and not for \vhat they had.
On Sunday, lVfarch 16, 2014 at 6:45 p.m. Rudolph A. Shabazz departed this life.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three de,roted children, ElI<ahira Wesley of Clarkston, Georgia; 1-'fedenah Wesley of Tucker, Georgia; and Latasha Crosby of Decatur, Georgia; fiye grandchildren, Tony Wesley, Zora Wesley, Shontece Crosby, Langston Wesley, and Taylor Wesley; many cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, and friends.
