Georgia, to the late Joseph and Lilious Brown.
Anita was educated in the Dekalb County School System and graduated from Columbia High School. Where she enjoyed playing basketball.
She worked various jobs throughout her years and held different management positions.
Anita attended Thankful Baptist Church and later joined First St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she sung in the choir and worked on different boards in the church. On March 16, 2008, Anita rededicated her life to God.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three daughters, Ranada Scales, Toni Scales Dowell (Joe), and Tinita Scales; two grandchildren, Tylah Dennis and Stacy Dennis, Jr.; one sister, Mrs. Priscilla Thomas (Christopher); one brother, Mr. Felix Brown (Jeannie); her life was also shared by three nieces, Sasha Challenger (Deval), Germaine Brown and Nickey Brown; two nephews, Christopher Alexander Thomas and Mitchell Anderson Thomas; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Lois Scales; six sisters-in-law, two brothersin-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
