Mrs. Lucille Beasley Sanford, daughter of the late Charlie and Julie Johnson Beasley, was born on December 28, 1911 in Bulloch County, Georgia. She departed this life-on Sunday, November 21, 1982 at the Bulloch Memorial Hospital, Statesboro, Georgia.
At an early age, she moved to Macon, Georgia, where she became a member of the Turner Tabernacle A.M.E. Church. She returned to Bulloch County 22 months ago, where she resided with her niece, Mrs. Vernita Knight of Register, Georgia.
She was united in holy matrimony to Jack Sanford, who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a foster daughter, Ms. Debra Cheney of Thomson, Ga.; ten nieces, Mrs. Julie Mae Perry of Flint, Mich., Mrs. Lucille Davis of New York City, N.Y., Mrs. Yvonne Wright, Mrs. Vergie Lee Munlin, Mrs. BettyJean Taylor all of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Vernita Knight, Mrs. Alma Mincey, Mrs. Bessie Mainer, Mrs. Juanita Washington and Mrs. Gertie Mae Brunson all of Register, Ga.; seven nephews, Clarence Brown of Register, Ga., Eddie Brown of Waukegan, Ill., Heyward Beasley, E.
J. Beasley both of Detroit, Mich., Joseph Lee, Jr., James Lee and
Hubert Lee all of South Bend, Ind.; several other relatives and friends.
