OBITUARY -
MR. P.ENRY THOMAS SANFORD was born in Talbotton, Ga. on November 4, 1892. He departed this life on June 19, 1976.
He moved to Atlanta, Georgia at an early age. Here he joined Hinsley's Temple Church of God in Christ under the late Bishop James J. Hinsley.
Mr. Sanford was a true example of the Good Samaritan. Always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a lover of note singing and his password was, 111 am not complaining; every day I'm gaining."
A devoted husband and father, he leaves to mourn his passing: a loving wife, Mrs. Alberta Sanford; two daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Watson and Mrs. Ruby L. Linsey; one soninlaw, Mr. Sam Linsey; one sister, Mrs. Jennie B. Adams; one brother, Mr. Jack Sanford; six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; four nieces; one nephew; one devoted cousin, Mr. Love Sanford; a host of other relatives and friends.
~e cannot see, we cannot know, The meaning of it all; Just why the road must winding be, Or why the tears must fall. But face to face one day, t~ith God in Heaven's glorious land The darkened glass will be removed And then we' 11 understand."
