~- Mary E. Samuels departed this life Friday, March 25, 2005, at a local
hospital. Mrs. Samuels were the daughter of the late Mr. Perry Biggs and Mrs. Fannie Mae Biggs. She was born in Brewton, Alabam~ on August 28, 1922. She attended Southern Normal School, Brewton, Alabama and graduated from Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama. She taught school for oYer 30 years in Escambia County Alabama.
Mrs. Samuels was a loyal and faithful member of Piney Grove Baptist Church of Brewton, Alabama, as was an active member of the choir and other auxiliaries of the church. Her sweet spirit and presence will be missed by her church family and friends.
Affectionately known by her many family n1ernbers as "Nan-Nan", she was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Mallard; and sisters, Mary Alice Cunningham and lola Biggs Williams.
Precious memories will be cherished by her two sisters, Roberta Biggs, Century, Florida and Lizzie Biggs, Brewton, Alabama; two brothers, James (Evelyn) Biggs, Montgomery, Alabama and Da\ id (Laura) Biggs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews, countless loving relatives and friends and her church family.
