[Funeral program for Lottie Withers Russell

OOITUARY
If I sit down at set of sun And count the acts that I have done, And, counting, fine One self-denying deed, one word That eased the heart of him who heard-One glance most kind, That fell like sunshine where it went-Then I may count ~hat day well spent.
These words vividly describe the life of our loved one, Mrs. Lottie Withers Russel l, whose earthly life ~eased to exist Monday, July 9, 1984 at the Camelot Nursing Home, Danville, Va. after about four months of confinement. She was the daughter of the late George and Sadie Bushnell Withers, born in Caswell County March 15, 1900.
When quite young, she united with the Red ill Baptist Church and remained faithful to the end. After having moved to the Jortes Community, she continued her close relationship with the church family by attending the Mineral Springs Baptist Church regularly. She taught Sunday School and worked closely with the auxiliaries of the church.
She was married to the late Onza Russell and was blessed with two children, both haying preceded her in death. She was a loyal and devoted wife and a mother to the children in the neighborhood, leading them in the right directio~ by taking them to Sunday School. Lottie was a lovely person in every way, caring sympathetic, humble, understanding and good company.
She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Mrs. Sadie W. Gwynn of Pelham; three brothers, Ben Withers of Newport News, Va. , Forrest and Elmer Withers of Ruffin; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Rest now, thou child of God Here where your feet have trod
Rest with the saints above,
You left a path of love.
