Repast West End Church of Christ
Elaine Rowell, daughter of William and Mary Mills, was born in Augusta, Georgia on February 21, 1968. She was called to rest on Monday morning, September 23, 2013. Yonita was primarily raised in Columbus, Georgia where she graduated in 1986 with honors from Baker High School. Yonita loved to plan trips and travel, especially to the mountains. Her favorite pastime was entertaining family and friends in her home. She loved to fish, but only if her dad would bait the hook.
She attended Columbus State University, and worked as a Marketing Production Specialist at Columbus Bank & Trust; a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers for many years; and later as an Account Executive at First Magnus Financial/Argent Mortgage. At the time of her passing, she was the Chief Operating Officer at Great Works Heating & Air, a business she and her husband, Reggie, owned. She was also very dedicated to her work as the Marketing Director for the West End Church of Christ.
Yonita leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Reginald Rowell of Douglasville, Georgia; two daughters, Lashana Rochelle Brown of Enterprise, Alabama; and Kiana Renee Brown of Douglasville, Georgia; parents, William and Mary Mills of Columbus, Georgia; mother-in-law Maxine Rowell of Phenix City, Alabama; grandmother, Mamie Burnett of Warrenton, Georgia; sister, Tamiska Newman of Decatur, Georgia; sister-in-law, Tina Rowell of Phenix City, Alabama; niece, Jazmin Newman and nephews, A.J. Newman and Jamarkus Rowell; uncles and aunts, Jimmy Battle (Alfreda) of Martinez, Georgia; Oliver Mills (Doris) of Salisbury, Maryland; Joe Mills and James Mills of Columbus, Georgia; Royce Mills of Stockton Maryland; Ernestine Mills of Stockton, Maryland; Sharon Mills of Stockton, Maryland; Donna Mills of New Castle, Delaware; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Yonita was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all those who knew and loved her. Everyone loved her gentle spirit, kind heart, and beautiful smile.
