Christmas In Heaven
I won't be spending Christntas with you this year; I will be spending Christmas with my Christ so dear. I see the countless Christntas trees around the world below, with tiny lights lil?-e heaven's stars reflecting on the snow. The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear, for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I hear the ntany Christntas songs that people hold so dear, but the sounds of music can't contpare with the Christntas choir up here. I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring,
for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing. I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart,
for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place. Can you just imagine Christmas with our Savior face to face?
I'll ask Him to lift your spirit as I tell Hint of your love, so then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above. Please let your hearts be joyful and let your spirit sing, for I am spending Christmas in heaven and I'm walking with the King.

Obituary
Mr. Woodrow Ross, an only child, was born on February 29, 1916 to the late Mrs. Maggie Ross Gooden and Mr. George Ross in Pelham, Georgia. His half-brother, Alexander Hodge, preceded him in death. On Tuesday, December 23, 2003, he entered eternal rest after a long and fulfilling life.
Woodrow completed the nine years of education available to him at the Mitchell County Training School, Mitchell County, Georgia. At age 19, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he earned his high school diploma equivalency in 1952. During reserve duty prior to retirement, Woodrow entered Clark College in 1959. He graduated Magna Cum Laude earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1963.
While in the army, to further his career, in 1940, he earned a StenographicSecretarial Diploma from the International Correspondence Schools of Scranton, Pennsylvania. By 1943, he was appointed Warrant Officer. In 1948, he was one of only two African-Americans in a class of 52 to complete the Adjutant General's Officers' Personnel Management Course. He served in World War II and Korea. His career spanned over 28 years and he retired at the highest rank of Chief Warrant Officer in 1963.
Following graduation from Clark College in 1963, Woodrow began work as an assistant in the Clark College Office of Business Affairs. His second career ended in 1983 and he retired as Chief Accountant. During his career, he received numerous awards of appreciation from the college. He was also a faithful supporter of his alma mater and was awarded the Clark College Philharmonic Society J. DeKovin Killingsworth Distinguished Service Award.
He committed his life to the Lord at an early age. He married Ida Maude Wolfe on July 10, 1946. To this union four children were born, Barbara, Michael, Jane and Janet. He was a member of Warren Memorial United Methodist Church for over forty years, and a loyal supporter of the church and numerous charitable organizations. On September 21, 2003, the United Methodist Men of Warren recognized him for his faithful service to the church.
Woodrow through the years has been fondly known as "Chief' not only because of his life vocations, but also because of his demeanor and reserve in maintaining a calm, level-headed, no nonsense approach to life. Always peaceful, pragmatic and gracious, he quietly gave of himself, and his gifts and abilities to support his family, church and all those God led across his path. He is greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Ross is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Ida; daughters, Barbara Howard, Jane Mosley (Edward, Jr.), and Janet Payne (Louis, Jr.); son, Michael Ross, Sr. (Marie); grandchildren, Dana Ross, Michael Ross, Jr., Jasmine Mosley, and Edward Mosley, Ill; nieces, Annie Hodge, Brenda Wolfe, Rolise Broadnax (Larry), and Lynette Collins (William); nephews, Walden Wolfe, Jr. and Clyde Gaylord (Chandra); great-niece, Lauren Hodge; sisters-in-law, Fredricka Wolfe, Henrietta Wolfe, and Nellie Gaylord; brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wolfe (Elise); cousins, Eloise lsom and Collister Powell; and many other relatives and friends.
