OBITUARY
Cydney Christina Ross was born Apri I 20, 1986 in a union of love to Mr. and Mrs. Gregory (Bernestine) Ross in Atlanta, Georgia. Early Saturday afternoon, September 20, 2003, (17 years after the day she was baptized on June 15, 1986) the Lord picked one of His beautiful flowers for His bouquet.
Cydney received her elementary and secondary school education in the Atlanta Public Schools, A. P. Randolph Elementary School, Camp Creek Middle School and Westlake High School.
School was important in Cydney's life. At an early age, she developed a love for learning and how to be smart. She was an honor student throughout her entire academic career. One of her life's goals was to attend Howard University and enter Pre-Med and become a Pediatricianeventually teaching in the medical field.
Her achievements were many, just to name a few: 2001- Most Spirited for Westlake Tennis; 2001 -Varsity Letter for Tennis; 2002- 2nd Year Varsity Award for Tennis; 2003 - 3rd Year Varsity Award for Tennis; 2003- Platinum Award of Excellence for Community or School Service for the Westlake High School M?th/Science Magnet Program; 2003Platinum Award of Excellence for Advanced Chemistry Topics for the Westlake High School Math/Science Magnet Program; 2003- Highest PSAT score for the 11th grade, 2001-2003 Westlake High Scho<?l Math/Science Magnet Recipient of the Platinum Award of Excellence Honor roll of 90 and above; 2003- Platinum Award for the Talented Top Ten, Semi-Finalist for the State Merit Scholarship Program; Member of the Westlake Marching Band; Member of the Cascade United Methodist Church Coming Generation Choir. She was a member of Westlake High School's Class of 2004. Cydney was slated to represent Westlake High School as Miss Magnet for the year 20032004. ,
Cydney Christina Ross leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories, her Father and Mother, Gregory Heyward & Bernestin~ Hicks R~ss, her sister, Monica "Lisa" Ross, her brother, Clifford D. Ross, /her paternal grandmother, Cora B. Ross, her materl)al grandfather, Duroc D. Hicks, her maternal great-grandmother, Christine Dicker:son and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceding her in death are her paternal grandfather, Sidney Ross, and her maternal grandmother, Bern? Fay Hicks.
