~chie Price Roland, was born in Carbon Hill, Alabama on July
13, 1916 to Josphine Fears and Orange Roland
The family moved to Chicago where he met and married Gertrude Goodwin and born three children. He served in the United States Army in World War II. After being discharged with honors her became a construction worker and worked hard to provide for his family. He later mover to Buffalo, New York where shortly after his wife passed away. He at all times to keep every one in high Spirits and to make them laugh always joking. Before leaving this earth he excepted the Lord Jesus into his life. Archie Roland Sr.... will be joining his grandson, Archie the Third.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved Dessie Phillips; his three children, Inez E. Duncan of Pasadena, CA., Ruth Montgomery of Pasadena, CA. and Archie Price Roland Jr. of Buffalo, NY; son-inlaw, Thomas Glover, CA.; fourteen grandchildren, Chester Duncan Jr., Francis Freeman Jr., and Lucy Nash of Pasadena, Cynthia Jackson of Chicago, Marlene Roland of Buffalo, Troy Roland of Pasadena, Melinda Roland, Johnathan Roland, Anthony Roland, Archie Roland, Christerfer Roland of Buffalo, Markita Roland, Tashan Roland, Darnell Roland ofPasadena; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
