OBITUARY
Elder John Richardson, Sr. was born in Evergreen, AL on
December 26, 1943 to the late Herman Richardson, Sr. and Dora D. Harris. H,e departed this life to be with the Lord on August 29, 2014 after two years of a serious illness.
John was educated in the public schools in Evergreen, AL. John then migrated to New York City and later furthered his education in Atlanta, Georgia. He met and married his sweetheart of 48 years in New York City, where they gave birth to their soil, John Jr. After six years, the family moved to Atlanta, Georgia. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, but most of all he loved God, recognized, knew and reverenced Him.
Elder Richardson received Jesus as his Lord and Savior and received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit over 25 years ago. He answered his call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and was not ashamed. He was Licensed and Ordained by Apostle Tony Weaver ofTruevine Holiness Fellowship Church, Decatur, GA. John was Elder and Assistant Pastor of Truevine Holiness Fellowship Church for a season. He and his wife were Pastors over God' s Flames of Fire Ministry where many souls have been won to Jesus Christ, by Elder. On the job and off the job, John witnessed the gospel of Jesus Christ. John' s favorite saying " If our God doesn't do it, He is Able' and Scripture John 14:1-4-"Let not your heart be troubled, he that believe in God, belie eth also in Me" .
John is survived by his loving wife; Evangelist/Pastor Ocie Richardson; one son, John (Vania) Richardson Jr.; three grandchildren, Alston, Joshua and Gabriel; three brothers, Harvey Harris, Cebron Harris and Jerry Harris; two sisters, M. Louise Arrington and Lucille (Tommie) Dukes, several in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be missed dearly by his loved ones, church family, and friends. He fought a good fight of faith. Let God be glorified!
