-Selected Love, devotion, kindness and faithfulness were given to his family, his church, his country and his friends during the 90 years of Issac Reid's life. He was born December 6, 1896 in Baldwin County to the parentage of Mrs. Emily Bonner Reid and Mr . Willie Reid. He was proud of his family whom he loved very dearly and that love was reciprocated.
In 1923, after moving his family to Macon, Georgia, he united with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. J. T. Saxon. His guiding qualities as a Christian gentlemen merited him the honor of being ordained as a Deacon by the then Pastor, Rev. A. J. Collier.

As a result of his efforts he has served on the Deacon Board, Trustee Board, Usher Board, Building Committee, Church Treasurer and Church Custodian. He has been honored as a "Golden Member" along with a Golden Marriage.
