OBITUARY
u And I'll not care how long /'//live If I can give - and give -and give. "
-Selected Love, devotion, kindness and faithfulness were given to his family, his church, his country and his friends during the 90 years of Issac Reid's life. He was born December 6, 1896 in Baldwin County to the parentage of Mrs. Emily Bonner Reid and Mr . Willie Reid. Upon reaching maturity, he united in holy matrimony to Miss Bertha Reeves - a union which continued for 68 beautiful years. To them was born two sons, Willie Lee and Floyd. He was proud of his family whom he loved very dearly and that love was reciprocated.
In 1923, after moving his family to Macon, Georgia, he united with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. J. T. Saxon. His guiding qualities as a Christian gentlemen merited him the honor of being ordained as a Deacon by the then Pastor, Rev. A. J. Collier.

As a result of his efforts he has served on the Deacon Board, Trustee Board, Usher Board, Building Committee, Church Treasurer and Church Custodian. He has been honored as a "Golden Member" along with a Golden Marriage.
A veteran of World War I and an employee of Bibb Manufacturing and Peeler Hardware Co., he retired as a self-employed Barber . He passed silently on Wednesday morning, September 23, 1987.
