Susie Xate Xeeves was born in Meriwether County on March
28th, 1920.
Susie was married the late Mr. Henry Reeves in 1940.
Several years ago Susie joined the St. Paul A. M. E. Church and served faithfully on the Usher Board for over 40 years.
Springfield Baptist Church held a very special place in her heart, because most of her children were members there. The have been there with her through many hard times. Thanks!
She was preceded in death by six children, L. C. Reeves; Ralph Reeves; Willie Henry Reeves; Rebecca Norman; Janie Mae Reeves; Bernice Reeves; one daughter-in-law, Silvia Ann Reeves.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two children, Maude (W. T.) Cameron, Hogansville, GA; Willie James (Shirley) Reeves, Thomaston, GA; daughters-in-law, Dorothy Reeves, Eloise Reeves; twenty-four grandchildren; sixty-seven great grandchildren; thirty great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
She was also a grandmother and mother to many, many people in the community. She loved each and every one of them as her own.
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God made for me I took His hand when I heard Him call; I turned my back and left you all. To love, to work, to play, My tasks left undone must now stay that way. Ifmy parting has left a void in your life, Then fill my space with rememberedjoy A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh, yes these things I too will miss.
Do not worry, and do not sorrow Because my friend I wish you the sunshine oftomorrow.
My life's been lived, I've enjoyed much Goodfriends, good times, a loved one 's touch.
Although my time seemed all too fast Just think ofthe good times we had in the past.
Lift up your hands and share with others. I'm free, God wants me home now My sisters and brothers
