OBITUARY
Mr. Jerry Dean Prothro was horn September 28, 1885, to
the late Y.tr. & YLrs. Sidr1ey Prothro in Spaulding County. He passed this life luesday, January 18, 1972. IIe was married to the late JI:Irs .- Lary Reid Prothro. To this union four (4) children liere born. Mrs. Hary Prothro
passed June 19, 1919, after which he moved to AtlanGa,
Georgia in 1922. He joined the old IJ.oyd Street Methodist Church, now Central United Methodist Church and served faithfully until his passing. After moving to Atlanta, he later married Mrs. Ophelia Solomon Prothro. With his radiant personality and pleasant smile, he reflected this to everyone with whom he came in contact. He was always willing to give a helping hand to his neighbors and offer words of encouragement where ever it was needed. He is survived by ttro sons : Mr. Wilford Prothro, }ir.. walter Prothro; one daughter, }~s. Marie Dotson; one stepson, ~. Eugene Solomon of Chicago, Ill.; three
