Let me live in a house by the side of the road,

Where the race of men go by-

T he men who are good and the men who are bad

As good and as bad as I.

'

I would not sit in the scorner's seat,

Or hurl the cynic's ban-

Let me live in a house by the side of the road

And be a friend to man.

IN APPRECIATION .
We lift our hearts in grateful praise, To God who sent so many friends our way With words of comfort and messages of cheer; Each card, flower, food item, and expression Consoled our hearts at a time when friends were needed.
May you be rewarded by the Master As you continue to do His will.

Entrance Into Mortality:

Entrance Into Immortality:

January 27, 1913

October 10, 1993

cod often allows our hearts to be broken, so

that He can beautify our souls.

Mr. Solomon Pritchett, Sr., a lifelong resident of Bartow County, was the eighth of twelve children born on January 27, 1913, to the parentage of the late Mr. Henry Pritchett and Mrs. Emma Young Pritchett. He was one who reached out to others, and this he did with a glad heart. His outreach was felt locally and in the church.

Educated in the Bartow County School System, when very young he united with Queen Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he attended Sunday School, was a former Trustee, and was a supporter of other church functions.
When endowed with adequate health, Mr. Pritchett was an industrious man. He worked as a farmer, traveled estensively on various jobs, and retired from the N.C. & St. Louis Railroad in june, 1965, after many years of dependable service.
His hobbies were gardening, fishing, hunting, and he enjoyed sharing vegetables and wild meat with his family and friends. The Master's touch was shown in his kind, helpful deeds.
Married to the former and late Mrs. Hattie Mae Barton, twelve children came to bless their home. Mr. Pritchett loved his family, his church, and the people in the community, especially encouraging the youth.
He will be missed, but on Sunday, October 10, 1993, Mr. Pritchett gained the victory over trials and tribulations of this life, and now his spirit has returned to the Source from whence it came. He will live on in the hearts of his friends and loved ones and through eternity with our Lord.
Those left to share many precious memories are: one daughter, Ms. jo Ann Pritchett of College Park; five sons, Misters Calvin, and Elder james Paul Pritchett of Rome; john Passley of Atlanta; Tony and O'Dell Pritchett of Kingston; one sister, Mrs. Annie Orr of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Mr. Otis Pritchett of Kingston; twentyone grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; five daughters-in-law, Mrs. Roxie Pritchett, Mrs. Linda 0. Pritchett, Mrs. Melvia Pritchett, Mrs. Clara Passley, and Mrs. Yvonne Pritchett; six sisters-
