Jacqueline Murray Pride was born April 12, 1944 in Greenville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Louis Baker and mother, Lucille Bray Hunter.
Jacqueline retired from AT&T after a long and illustrious career. She was among the company's first Black telephone operators and was commemorated by appearing on the cover of the 1985-1986 greater Atlanta telephone book.
She loved and lived a fulfilled life. She was beautiful, intelligent, footloose, and fancy free. She loved sports and instilled fiercely competitive spirits in her sons. She loved art, music, bowling, family and friends .
Jacqueline was called home on May 18, 2014. She is survived by four sons, Shaddone Pride (LaQuisha), Kevin Pride, Terrance Pride (Cherry), and Troy Pride (Angela); numerous other relatives and friends .
She lived, loved, and touched many lives and she was loved by many. We will all miss her dearly.
