The Reverend Jerry Smith, Officiating
Mary Philo was born on June 23,1921 in Waynesboro, Georgia to the late Fannie Bogins. She was a member of Palmer Grove Baptist Church.
Mary Philo was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Roosevelt Philo. Her children, Mattie Lee Redding and Janie Mae Haynes.
On Sunday, April 4, 2010, Mary Philo answered her call and departed this life. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted family: Her children Clarence (Angela) Bogins, Ruby (Nathan) Ellis, Maria (Allen) Boyd, Essie Philo, Elease (James) Carpenter, Louise Philo, Fanny Harris, Ralph Philo, and Larry Philo; brother, John Bogins; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special family friends: Wilbur Owens and Daniel Pino.
Gone is the face we love so dear
Silent is the voice we loved to hear.
Loving and kind in all her ways
Upright and just to the end of her days.
God just called her home; it was His will
But in our hearts, she is with us still.
