Tisha Juanette Person, known affectionately as "Tisha-Roo," was born May 21st, 1972. She was the only daughter of Larry Person and the late Candace Elizabeth Person. She was a source of strength to her family and all who knew her.
Tisha received Christ and was baptized at an early age. Her strong faith and relationship with God was evident throughout her youth, young adult, and adult life.
Tisha matriculated in the Atlanta Public School System and excelled academically. She graduated from C.L. Harper High School in 1990 and pursued her undergraduate education by attending Georgia Southwestern University from the fall of 1990-1994, when her health began to decline. Tisha, being tenacious and determined in spirit, would not be hindered by medical challenges. She later enrolled in The Ultrasound and Diagnostic College, graduating with an Associate Degree in 2003. She worked as a Sonographic Professional at Piedmont Hospital and Northside Hospital here in Atlanta, GA.
Tisha was a member of The Word of Faith Love Center, where she served on the Hostess Ministry. Tisha had an unusual zest for life. In spite of medical chalienges, she was, by God's grace, able to overcome overwhelming odds.
In 2007, she adopted Komorah Elizabeth, who was "the apple of her eye and the joy of her life."
Tisha was preceded in death by her mother, Candace Elizabeth Person. In addition to her daughter Komorah, she leaves behind to cherish her memory: her father, Mr. Larry Person (Pam); aunts and uncles: Mrs. Jacquelyn Turman, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Jameson (Sharon), Mrs. Linda Eaves, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Clemmons (Lisa), Mrs. Margaret Hayes, Mrs. Mary Mathis, Mrs. Tawanna Tucker, Mr. Danny Person, Mr. Cortez McGough, Mr. Glover McGough, Mr. Joel McGough; special friend Mr. Eric McCrary; sisters and brothers; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
Though the sudden loss of Tisha has left us speechless and heartbroken, we are comforted knowing that, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." We were blessed profoundly by her courage, fortitude , and resilience over the years. We understand that she was truly a gift and a miracle from God, and we thank him for sharing her with us for forty years. She will always be our "Shero," and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Recessional
Don't grieve for me for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call.
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow: I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full I've savored much, Good times, good friends, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, Don't lenghten it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, he set me free.
