Peggy Jean Perry was born on July 5, 1948 in Slocomb, Alabama. She was the daughter of Elder Joe Murry and the late Mrs. Josephine Murry. On Thursday, October 23, 2014 she peacefully entered into eternal rest and went home to be with the Lord. She was the first of five loving children.
She graduated from Slocomb High School in Slocomb, Alabama and later attended Atlanta Area Technical College. In 1982, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Charles Perry and together they raised three loving children Robert, Phyllis, and Gary.
Peggy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She delighted herself in her Lord through much praise, worship and prayer. She was an entrepreneur specializing in cleaning services for many years. She became a member of The Body of Christ Church International U.S.A. (former!J The
Bocjy of Christ Chnstian Church) in 1985. In 1994 she graduated from The Supernatural Ministry Training
Institute (SMTI) of The Body of Christ Christian Church. She went on to become a Minister in Training (MIT) and after being a dedicated and proven servant of God, she became a Licensed and Ordained Minister of the Gospel ofJesus Christ.
Peggy, who was also known as "Sister Peggy" or "Mama Peggy" was truly a God-fearing, faithful and anointed woman of God. She loved her family and blessed the lives of her children by the life she lived and godly instructions in life. Sister Peggy loved to sing and preach about the God she loved and served. She was truly endowed with a "preaching and singing" anointing on her life. Her singing was absolutely "soul stirring" and "heart warming". Many would say "you can feel the anointing in her singing." Sister Peggy was a woman of God who wanted the life she lived to speak for her. She was an honorable woman who was highly thought of and well loved by her family and many that knew her.
Sister Peggy's talents, abilities and gifts were utilized faithfully in various areas of the church ministry. She served in the Ministry of Helps Mission's Department, she loved Soulwinning, she served in the Convalescent/In Care Nursing Homes Ministry, and she sang in the Sanctuary Choir. She also enjoyed participating in the Women's Ministry, Victorious Women for Christ Ministry, and the Hosea Feed the Homeless. She was also very talented in drawing and decorating and loved volunteering in the community and doing garage sales.
