Friends & Family
Nephews
Perhaps you sent a lovely card Or sat quietly in a chair;
Perhaps you sent a floral piece If so, we saw it there,
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words As any friend could say,
Perhaps you were not there at all Just thought of us today;
Whatever you did to console our hearts We thank you so much, whatever the part,
May God bless each of you.

Reginald Peek was born in Athens, Clarke County, Georgia on March 3, 1939. He was the seventh of eight children born to the late Otis and Nellie (Lyons) Peek.
Affectionately known as "Reggie" by friends and "Bar'bee" by family, he graduated in 1957 from Clarke County Industrial High School. He entered the U.S. Army following high school graduation and later attended Fort Valley State University earning a B.A. Degree in Music. He also completed graduate courses at The University of georgia in Athens, Georgia.
Following College graduation in January 1961, Reginald was employed by Hubbard High School as Band Director. His entire teaching career was spent in Monroe County. Reginald had a great passion for music. He played it, taught it, and shared it with others whenever he could. He retired from the Board of Education in June 1999 after teaching for 38 years, but earned credit for 39 years due to accumulated sick leave days.
Reginald spent several years working as a Disc Jockey and Program Director at WIBB Radio Station in Macon, GA. He especially enjoyed this job because playing "Golden Oldies" recordings brought him special memories of when he was a younger man and played the trumpet in back-up groups for great R & B artist such as James Brown.
After retirement, he continued to impact the lives of others by teaching private piano and instrumental music lessons at R & R Music Studio.
On April 5, 2002 God called Reginald from his labor to enter eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Tommie and James Bostic.
From Reginald's union with Minnie Shepherd Peek, he is survived by two children; Sgt. Reginald D. (Aundrea) Peek of Lanette, ALand Dr. Karen L. (Dexter) Warrior of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Mrs. Annie Mildred Jackson of Athens, GA; four brothers, Jerdine Bostic and Charles Bostwick of Fort Wayne, IN, Julius Bostic of Athens,GA and Robert H. Peek of Augusta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and his many special friends and former students in Forsyth, GA.
