rl Mother Lugenia H. Patterson was born September 9, 1919

~~ in Conyers, Georgia. She was the second of four siblings, to the

~~~~
union of Lizzie Mae Hull and Arthur Harris, who preceded her in death.
She attended elementary school in Rockdale County. Later, she was educated in the Atlanta Public school System where she attended David T. Howard High School and Booker T. Washington High school, where she graduated and received her ~ diploma. She attended two years of college in Queens New York.
After moving back to Atlanta, "Jean" as she was affectionately called, met and married her husband, Mr. Wallace Patterson who preceded her in death. To this union was born one son.
Jean's first job was with Simmons Beauty Rest Mattress Company where she worked for ten years. She later worked for DeKalb General Hospital as a Surgical Supply Technician. She retired from this position in 1983 with forty years of dedicated service.
Jean accepted Christ at an early age and j oined The Greater Travelers Rest Baptist church where she remained a faithful member for "EIGHTY HVE YEARS'' .
During her eighty five years of service, she served on the Usher Board and later on the Mother ' s Board. On November 16, 2014, Jean was honored with a certificate from The Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church for the member with the most years of service. Accompanied by her devoted son, this would be her last visit to her beloved church.
~ Jean joined the Helene Mills Senior Center in 2009. She en~ joyed water aerobics, pottery and going on outings. She also
enjoyed talking on the phone to family members, friends, and a special friend Ms. Annie Cornwell.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted loving son, John ~ Patterson; one grandchild, Franchesca; two great grandchildren $ and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
l}salm 23
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence ofmine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days ofmy life: and I will dwell in the house ofthe LORD forever.
