A TIME TO BE BORN Joy Earlena Patterson was born on December 31, 1968 to Joyce and Joseph E. Patterson Sr,.
A TIME TO PLANT She was a loving mother of two sons. Monterio J amiah McClinton and Dexter Andre Armstead, Jr. She opened her doors to all who needed a place to rest family and friends.
A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE UNDER THE HEAVENS At an early age she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. She joined Green Pastures Christian Ministries in 1983 and later joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. in Atlanta, Ga.
Growing up in Atlanta, she graduated from Walker High School (currently MeN air Sr. High School) in 1986. After graduating she started on her road to higher learning by attending Valdosta State University from 1986- 1988. Joy began her training in the accounting field, employed with the Internal Revenue Services for 6 Yz years. Because of her strong commitment and determination to reach her goal to become a certified public accountant (CPA). Joy was given the opportunity to work at Osborne & Associates, CPA firm. In May 1997 Joy received her associates degree from Perimeter College in the field of accounting and went on to work for the State of Georgia, Department of Revenue as an auditor. In 2001 Joy pursued her dream and stepped out by faith and began MD Financial Services, as a tax advisor and mortgage loan officer. This young woman was a true fighter who weathered many storms.
A TIME TO DEPART Joy Earlena Patterson departed this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2003.

Two sisters: Nicole Patterson and Amanda Liggins of Warner Robins, GA. Grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Robert G. Pinkney, Sr., the late Mr. John Henry Patterson and Mrs. Dora Patterson, all of Atlanta, GA. Aunts & Uncles: Mr. & Mrs. Robert G. Pinkney, Jr. & Family of Covington, GA, Mr. & Mrs. William Pinkney, Sr. & Family, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Smith & Family all of Decatur, GA., Mr. John H. Patterson, Jr. & Family of Texas, Mr. & Mrs. William Patterson & Family, Mr. Michael Patterson, Mr. & Mrs. Derrick Patterson and Mrs. Rubinell Patterson Saxon all of Atlanta, GA. Nine nieces and nephews, many cousins and a host of friends including Terrence (Terio) McClinton and Dexter A. Armstead, Sr.
